Sky Sport Italia earlier reported that Wilshere snubbed Roma after deciding that he wants to stay in England. The midfielder was then filmed arriving at Bournemouth ahead of his medical with the club, later holding up a shirt with manager Eddie Howe.

Wilshere failed to make Sam Allardyce's first England squad and is hoping to resurrect his club and country career with a spell on the South Coast. At Bournemouth he links up again with former Arsenal striker Benik Afobe, one of his closest friends.
